(IGCS&R)
America is the parent club for this wonderful breed. The German Coolie Club of America
was formed in 2005. The club was formed as a result of the lack of German Coolie related
organizations within the United States of America. In forming this club we hope to bring
attention to the breed, and to provide information and help to owners of the breed. With the
German Coolie becoming more and more popular, it was voted on and decided to form
partnerships with the countries of Australia and Canada in the preservation and promotion
of the German Coolie as the unique breed of dog that it has been since the 1800's.
The German Coolie Club of America is now known as the
International German Coolie Society and Registry.
On this site you will find general information about the breed and IGCS&R. We are very
proud of this breed and our Society that are made up of dedicated Coolie preservationists.
With the increasing interest in the German Coolie, this has led us to the futuristic
development of merit programs. When implemented, these programs will provide
certification and titles in Herding, Search and Rescue, Obedience, Tracking, and Agility as
well as recognition to the top Juniors. These programs will increase IGCS&R's role as a
service organization to much more than a registry. IGCS&R-registered Coolies will be able
to earn titles in every phase of competition as well as entry into IGCS&R's Hall of Fame
which is reserved for outstanding sires, dams, and kennels. Once utilized, IGCS&R
welcomes any fancier of the German Coolie to participate in our sanctioned shows and trials
for IGCS&R registered Coolies.
We are proud to be the largest and only German Coolie dog registry in North America and
Internationally. Our organization is governed by volunteer German Coolie fanciers. IGCS&R
provides an accurate stud book for this unique breed and will soon offer programs in all
areas where Coolies excel. IGCS&R is truly dedicated to preserving the Standard of
Excellence.
